Games Like Destroy Any Website
Updated Β· by the SmashRelief team
At the end of September 2026, Destroy Any Website took over social feeds. Made by Hugo Duprez as a showcase for his pixel-art editor Sprite Fusion, it lets you type in any URL and then sends a tiny pixel stick figure with guns, a flamethrower and explosives to tear that page apart. The destruction happens on a copy of the page, so it is completely harmless β and very satisfying.
If you have already wrecked your company intranet, your least favourite news site and your ex's portfolio, here are seven more games and tools that scratch the same itch, with a note on what you need to play each one.

1. Office Wrecker β the closest thing that needs no URL
Office Wrecker is our own take on the idea. Instead of loading a real website, it generates a fake work computer β an inbox with hundreds of unread messages, a spreadsheet ending in #REF!, a calendar packed with meetings β and hands you a hammer, a pistol, an auto gun, a flamethrower, bombs and a nuke. Damage stays on screen, a meter tracks how much of the desktop you have destroyed, and every desktop is random.
Best for: people who want the Destroy Any Website feeling on a phone, or who would rather destroy their job than a random homepage. Play Office Wrecker β
2. Kick Ass β the original "destroy the web" bookmarklet
Long before Destroy Any Website, Kick Ass (around since 2011) let you destroy any page you were looking at. You drag a button to your bookmarks bar, open any website, click the bookmark, and an Asteroids-style spaceship appears that shoots away text, images and buttons one element at a time. You can even design your own ship. The web version is free; there is also a paid iOS app.
Best for: destroying the actual page you are on right now, element by element.
3. Desktop Destroyer β the 2000s classic
Desktop Destroyer, a small Windows freeware game by Czech developer Miroslav NΔmeΔek, is the reason "smash your screen" games exist. It takes a picture of your real desktop and lets you hammer, shoot, burn and stamp all over it. It is old software, so if you want to try it, download it only from a source you trust and scan it first.
Best for: nostalgia, on a Windows PC.
4. Domain Destroyer β for developers
Domain Destroyer is an open-source TypeScript remake of Desktop Destroyer that you can drop into your own web project as an npm package. It is not something you visit and play, but if you build websites, adding a hidden "destroy this page" easter egg to your 404 page is a very good idea.
5. Glass Smash β for the sound of breaking glass
Glass Smash trades websites for windows, mirrors, TV screens and glass office doors. Each hit spreads a web of cracks from where you aim; the final blow explodes the pane into spinning shards. Unlock a baseball and a brick as you go.
Best for: short, very satisfying sessions. Play Glass Smash β
6. Website destroyer browser extensions
Search the Chrome Web Store for "website destroyer" and you will find several extensions that let you smash the page in your current tab. They can be fun, but remember that an extension that can modify every page may also be able to read every page. Check its permissions, reviews and update history before installing.
7. Bubble Wrap Pop β when you need to calm down instead
Sometimes you don't want explosions, you want something quiet and repetitive. Bubble Wrap Pop is endless virtual bubble wrap: swipe across a sheet to pop a whole row, look for golden bubbles, and a new sheet slides in every time you finish one.
Why are "destroy the website" games so popular?
We spend hours every day looking at web pages that want something from us β attention, a click, a subscription, a reply. Games like Destroy Any Website flip that relationship for a few minutes: the page is suddenly just a pile of breakable objects and you are the one in control. They also take zero skill to enjoy, every click gives instant feedback, and the results are perfect for screenshots, which is exactly why they spread so fast online.
Frequently asked questions
What is Destroy Any Website?
Destroy Any Website is a free browser game by Hugo Duprez, the creator of the Sprite Fusion pixel-art editor. You enter a website address and a pixel stick figure runs around a copy of that page destroying it with weapons. It went viral at the end of September 2026.
Does destroying a website in these games harm the real site?
No. Destroy Any Website works on a copy of the page, and tools like Kick Ass only change what is drawn in your own browser tab. Reloading the page brings everything back. Nobody else sees the damage.
Which of these games works without entering a URL?
Office Wrecker and Glass Smash on SmashRelief, and the classic Desktop Destroyer, give you something to destroy straight away without choosing a website.
Are browser extensions that destroy websites safe?
Many are fine, but extensions can ask for permission to read and change every site you visit. Check the permissions and reviews before installing, and prefer games that run in a normal web page when you just want to blow off steam.
